Memory Cells is an ongoing sculptural project about what happens when we return to the same origin again and again.
Each Cell begins with the same originating form, but reconstructs it differently. Some features remain recognizable. Others shift, disappear, or develop into new structures.
What returns is never exactly the same as what was there before. The works are not copies of a single object. They are different states of the same origin, emerging through repeated reconstruction. Each Recall Sequence consists of eight Cells.
Recall Sequence 01 unfolds through MC_001–MC_008, materializing sequentially, one state after another. The eighth Cell closes the sequence, but does not define a final form.

Memory / Technology / Matter
Before becoming physical, the form passes through different states. It moves through digital modeling, transformation, and 3D printing, then returns to the hand through coating, painting, and finishing. Each transition leaves something behind and adds something new.
The digital form does not enter matter unchanged. It acquires weight, surface, production traces, color, and small irregularities that emerge through the physical process.
The physical Cell is not a copy of the digital form.
In matter, the same form returns slightly differently.

Each Memory Cell receives its own archive card. MC_001 is open with full documentation. The remaining Cells are preserved as silhouettes in the order of their future materialization.

About the artist
Anomalit Kate is a cross-media artist and researcher of visual morphology.
